V is for vanity.

V is for vanity.  Many humans are constantly in pursuit of physical perfection.  The media and advertising encourage “ideals” that, in many ways, are unattainable.  Real life isn’t photoshopped.  The lighting isn’t always “just right”, and most of us don’t have full teams of people assembled to work on our makeup and hair on a daily basis.  Still, women paint their faces and men gulp protein shakes in an attempt to become what they see in magazines.  These fascinations can turn into obsessions and become extremely detrimental to self image and mental health.  Beauty is not always on the outside.
