Introduction to meeshelle’s Primer

| May 5, 2014

Meeshelle is curious about culture, politics, and power. In her work she shows interest in the tensions and ambiguities between agency and determinacy; of humans and of art itself. She’s very conversant in theater, and many other branches of aesthetic criticism. She speaks with familiarity of any number of artists, philosophers, and thinkers, and she weaves together erudite arguments nimbly, grounding larger philosophical questions in aesthetic specificities: in one post she uses Rachmaninov and Bach to illustrate a larger point about ontological agency, bringing Heidegger, Marcuse, Murdoch and Latour all into conversation with each other.
